Fermata Terminus

My apologies for the lengthy silence, but things just sort of got out of hand towards the end of the season. With all those solos, Mahler 8, and the departure of our Music Director I could barely keep up with reading everyone’s Facebook status, much less post something here (or practice). And my stamp collection has just gone to hell.

But now that summer’s finally started, rest assured that once again this will be your one-stop website for all the important information regarding the stuff  you care about most. Also, I want to thank the thousands of violists who wrote me after the last post, many of them asking for translations.

More to come, but to start off your July, a wonderful mini-documentary on my new favorite orchestra, which I am seriously considering joining. As usual, the best comments are from the bassoonist. Enjoy….

  1. Hi Frank,
I’m so glad you posted this. I’m almost ready to audition for the RTO, as I’ve tried other kinds of therapy and think this is what I’ve been missing. But do you think I need to upgrade my violin first?
    Happy summer,
    Irene
