Scanning the Dial has been nominated as “Best New Music Blog” (of 2008) by readers of Life’s a Pitch, an ArtsJournal blog about arts marketing — or at least one reader.

Now, of course, we need you all to get over to Life’s a Pitch and vote early and often for Scanning the Dial. Our competitors are Mark Adamo Online and Performance Monkey, another ArtsJournal blog. Winners will be announced next month. There might even be prizes. You can cast your vote by e-mailing blog proprietor Amanda Ameer here.

Here’s the full list of nominees in all categories.

I would love to vote, if non-professionals can vote. But I could not find a page for voting.

Hi Richard — the blog’s proprietor requested that readers vote by e-mail. So go to this page and send an e-mail to this effect:

“Only Mike Janssen and Marty Ronish can scratch that itch for all the gossip on classical music radio. I heartily verify that they deserve to win Best New Blog of 2008. Signed, Richard.”

    I thank you in advance.

  3. Richard Mitnick says:

Done. Thanks for letting me speak my mind in 2008.

You guys really are the best.
