At the risk of grossly abusing my position as a blogger, I thought I’d point out a really cool program that I just finished producing at WFIU for Veterans Day. I’m so fortunate to be just down the street from the world-renowned Jacobs School of Music, and last week the school put on an absolutely amazing performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, in commemoration of 100 years since the outbreak of World War I, and the anniversary of poet Wilfred Owen’s death. I was in the hall, and the emotion was palpable.
Anyway, here it is, for free on PRX. If you don’t use PRX and would like to acquire the program via ftp, shoot me an email (joegoetz@indiana.edu) and we can make it happen.
